Interesting to re-read this now after so many years. In my youth, I thought of it in relation to school shootings – bullied kids driven to revenge levels of violence. Now that I understand some of the Cold War tensions, it's interesting to see it as something about nuclear power, or just violent power in general. Granted, that's a lot to put on a volume which is mostly action, chase, action, kaboom pow aaaahhh for 300 pages. It may not be that deep.

There were some parts of the story that felt disjointed (though that might just be from translating). I liked it better than the first one though!
