Well written but dry. And full of side-backstories. Felt like a thousand pages.

Loved diving into this world. It's a slow burn but there is a lot to unpack, and a healthy dose of feminine perspective and class consciousness.

I thought this was a really well written story -  I could see readers who loved Where the Crawdads Sing really enjoying this one for some reason I can’t quite place. I really did enjoy the story line although I wasn’t attached to any character. I am a known hater of multiple POVs and fair warning if you are similar: there is a LOT of POV and timeline jumping in this one. But the author is clearly talented and I appreciate when an author can make/help me visual the moments I’m reading

A good mystery spanning decades and following multiple perspectives.
