This was so good. Touches on the importance of each animal in our ecosystem, humanity and empathy, how nothing is ever black and white. And the ending was such a twist! It had my emotions all over the place.

3.5 rounded up. Super interesting and gripping book that I probably wouldn't have picked up on my own (I did a FB challenge asking for 12 recommendations for the year).

Good climate fiction, although I was hoping for more story around the wolves. I guess my expectation was for more story surrounding the wolves, but it’s really just a backdrop for human behavior and what we’re capable of in contrast to the wolves. In that context, it was a good story and I continue to enjoy the books by this author.

This book was a bit slow for me, starting out. Eventually, I gained more interest and enjoyed reading it, but yeah... It was "just okay." This book was recommended to me so I had high hopes, but I must have missed something because this book just wasn't as interesting or engaging as some other books I've read recently.
